As part of the MED-LINKS project to achieve the objectives of WP5 led by CIHEAM-IAMM, we are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the first MED-LINKS project workshop in Errachidia, Morocco, hosted by Moulay Ismail University, Polydisciplinary Faculty of Errachidia.

This event, which was attended by the FPE – UMI and UCA team as partners of the MED-LINKS Project, marked a crucial point in our efforts to promote cooperation within the project.

Workshop Focus:

The purpose of this 1st workshop was firstly to present the Project, its objectives, and scopes to participants that account for around 80 persons among which there are Institutional, Professionals, Professors, students, and PhD students. Secondly, to  present and discuss the latest updates and results of the MED-LINKS project especially on the Morocco pilot actions  to strategize and prepare the next steps  with both institutional and professionals.

One of the exceptional aspects of this workshop is the meeting at the same time institutional, professionals, and academic researchers to debate a theme related to the implementation of the new national strategy “Generation Green” for the 2020-2030 horizon.

This discussion sparked deep reflections on the future of businesses especially, in the era of increasing digitization and highlighted the opportunities that digital technology offers to improve the competitiveness and efficiency of companies. The workshop was also an opportunity to exchange views on other crucial subjects for the Drâa-Tafilalet area, notably sustainable food systems, the competitiveness of agricultural SMEs, and quality and sustainability standards. The exchanges highlighted the challenges and opportunities faced by different industries, thus paving the way for closer collaboration and innovative solutions.
